Clonmellon (Irish: Ráistín) is a small village officially in County Westmeath although on the border with County Meath. It is situated on the N52 road between Kells in County Meath and Delvin in County Westmeath. The village itself is located on the N52 Mullingar to Dundalk Road.

There are notable historic sites in the area such as Ballinlough Castle, Killua castle which is the ancestral home of T.E Laurence (Laurence of Arabia) and has an obelisk dedicated to Sir Walter Raleigh to mark where he planted some of the first potatoes introduced to Ireland. and St John's Church which dates from 1790. The historic town of Kells is also a short distance away. Description
North Lodge was built in the late 17th early 18th century as a labourers cottage to the nearby Archerstown Estate (now demolished). It was thoughtfully extended in 2006 to enhance the cottage ideal while improving the living accommodation. It extends to approx. 152 square metres (1,640 square feet) including the utility and office and is finished to high standard. Notable features include gothic revival hardwood casement windows, limestone sills, hood mouldings, traditional lime render, solid walnut, birch, oak & maple flooring.

A particular feature is the entrance porch leading into the double height reception room which benefits from a mezzanine floor and large amounts of natural light as the room is triple aspect.
